“Oh, the magical scene:

…………………………………………………..

……..……. – and everything

with tender colours spill-

ing over the contours…”

Część II. „Kwiaty Polskie”, Julian Tuwim

Alojzy was an unusually charming, sociable man and everyone was naturally drawn to him and  to the environment he created, profiting in this way from the values of the various fields they represented. All this took place in an artistic setting,  presented against a background of the natural environment. People simply got to know each other. He loved music (this was expressed also in the concerts he organised in his own gallery), but probably Beethoven best of all. We will never forget the first time Alojzy invited us to visit him. We listened to a recording, on vinyl, of Beethoven’s Third Symphony “the Eroica” conducted by Herbert von Karajan. He spoke well and interestingly about art, about the beauties of the surroundings, about life. He attracted everybody like a magnet, expounding on the mysteries of values and the beauty of life.
